To those who do not know, I have discovered our beloved Tinkerbelle's true identity and place of employment.¿¿¿ I hereby call her on it.¿¿ Read on¿:
******************************************************
While taxiing¿at¿London¿'s¿Gatwick¿Airport¿, the crew of¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿¿ ¿a¿US¿Air flight departing for¿Ft.Lauderdale¿made a wrong turn and came nose to nose with a United 727. An irate female ground controller lashed out at the¿US¿Air crew, screaming:¿
'US Air 2771, where the hell are you going? I told you to turn right onto Charlie taxiway! You turned right on Delta! Stop right there. I know it's difficult for you to tell the difference between C and D, but get it right!'¿

Continuing her rage to the embarrassed crew, she was now shouting hysterically: 'God! Now you've screwed everything up! It'll take forever to sort this out! You stay right there and don't move till I tell you to! You can expect progressive taxi instructions in about half an hour, and I want you to go exactly where I tell you, when I tell you, and how I tell you! You got that,¿USAir 2771?'¿

'Yes, ma'am,'
¿the humbled crew responded.¿

Naturally, the ground control communications frequency fell terribly silent after the verbal bashing of US Air 2771. Nobody wanted to chance engaging the irate ground controller in her current state of mind. Tension in every cockpit out around Gatwick was definitely running high. Just then an unknown pilot broke the silence and keyed his microphone, asking:¿

'Wasn't I married to you once?'¿

I don't normally medicate (can't you tell? twitch, twitch, twitch) but if you would give me reason to, I'd certainly see if those new blue pills I hear so much about would be useful to us.:):):):):)
¿
Unlike the advice given in the commercials, though, if that "performance enhancement" lasts more than four hours, we're not telling a doctor.¿ We're taking out an ad and telling everybody in the tri-state area!!!!!!!!!!!!¿ :):):)

Tinkerbelle,
¿
I would never intend to patronize.¿ I may have certain ingrained sexist feelings, alll of which I believe to be in a woman's favor, never demeaning. ¿ (Depends on how you look at it, of course.)¿ I just meant that I'm disappointed when ANYONE resorts to a nuclear strike when a calm correction would do.¿ But yes, this sexist dinosaur IS a little more disappointed when a woman does it, because as a general rule I DO believe you are the MORE capable sex, not the lesser.¿
¿
Other than that minor twitch in my psyche, though, I'm perfect.:):):):):)

Conyers You almost had me there agreeing with what you had said UNTIL the last sentence. What REALLY gets me going is when im being patronised just like you did there.
It really sends me into orbit.
You expect better?? well so do we women We expect to be cut the same slack as you men.
Not only that I actually dont expect it I DEMAND it

Hey Love & Tink,
I agree with you that businesswomen get less respect and leeway.
¿
BUT, I will say that what bugs me about a woman "overdoing" it (is a little too aggrssive or sensitive/retalitory) is the same thing as when a man overdoes it..........It's the old joke about the penis contest.¿ When Little Johnny comes in with five one dollar bills and his dad asks him where he got the money?¿ "We had a P_____ contest at recess today, and I won."¿ Dad asks, horrified, "You didn't pull that thing out at the playground, did you?"¿ To which little Johnny replies, shocked, "Why of course not , dad.¿ I only pulled out enough to win!!"
¿
Same principal here. Some women (AND men) feel they have to prove themselves in every instance.¿ANd sometimes you don't HAVE to. ¿I think it is much more convincing to politely and firmly, indicate CLEARLY that things really are going to go HER way.¿ But you don't pull out the bitch cannon if merely uncovering the end of the barrel will do.¿ And SOME women (and some men) don't understand this.¿¿ And, unfairly for women, they look worse when they overdo it that a man does.¿
¿
It's because we expect more from you.¿¿ Just like your parents told you.¿ :):)

love4ever you are soooo right. I mean its ok when men kick butt
strange it doesnt go both ways. Ive been in business for 30 years and you know what its still not ok with the men. They love the idea of a powerful woman but when they get one they just cant cut it
