Every night before bed I let my dogs go out to potty.. well last night my baby girl dog was like no thank you i'm lazy and want to stay in bed, but my baby boy dog was like hell yeah i gotta pee, and he was at the door shakin ready to go.. I open the door and he goes like a bat out of hell runnin to the back of the yard and i'm like brownie get your lil ass over here and when i said that i seen a BIG white/black tail go str8 up.. OH So here he finally comes back to the door and i could smell him.. oh it was so bad that my roommate came out of his room and was like dam whats that smell.. i'm like duh it was a skunk.. so i grab some tom. juice and out the door i go.. so i was up until 2am remind you i gotta be at work on mondays and 5am.. Last night was the first time in 2 years that my baby dog was not in the bed, and i could not sleep.. I had to make him a bed in the garage .. i just wanted to make sure the smell is off of him.. So after work today i'm going to give him another tom. juice bath, and i sure hope it all comes off cause that smell is something nasty.. Anyone know anything else that might work?

I simply Googled "Remove Skunk Odor" and got the post I just put up. For many other formulas you could try, Google the same. You'll have a lot to choose from. Good luck. Pat

Ok, so i think i got it all off.. i used all kinds of good smelling stuff.. lol.. it was kinda funny because i let him back into the house and my other dog well she was smelling him and then she would roll around in front of him.. not sure if she thought he was cheating or if it was gettin her all worked up, but those two yesterday was so funny it was like bringing 2 lovers back together.. they are so cute.. i just love the shit out of my dogs.. thanks to all of you for your help.. oh i did use the dawn dish soap.. it seemed to work also..

Check with a veterinarian. It might require a very short haircut, special soaps and several nights of the dog sleeping in the garage. I used to have a dog that loved to roll in the remains of dead animals. That smelled prettty bad as well. At least I lived on a lake. Made bathing a lot easier. Good luck.

I had a friend suggest Hydrogen Peroxide and Dawn dish liquid. I'm not sure the exact proportion of each in the mix, but it's supposed to work much better than tomato juice. If you try it, I'd be curious how it worked.
