Hard question and even though I have a few in my mind I will share this one because to me it's the most romantic moment ever... So a long time ago (7) years ago... I was at this party and I was really sad because I couldn't forget this guy and I remember I was drinking way too much so I somehow went outside and got lost for a few minutes..:/ my friend who had been visiting us after being in the Iraq war found me and took care of me until I felt better.) I was really depressed and out of the blue he told me: you're a diamond. We talked for hours... He told me his feelings for me because he was going to leave again.. And yes we did kiss<3 He asked me if I would wait for him and I didn't say anything at first because i knew I would go back to my ex which I did./ but after six months went by I told my friend to email him back with my response... (yes) but only two months later he was killed during an explosion in Iraq. I will never forget the happy moments that we had together... He was my best friend and I also had feelings for him but I didn't tell him.( to this day I still remember him. I write him poems every year and post them on a site dedicated to him because he watched over me many times and I do believe he's the one who has kept me alive.

The last Valentine with my husband...he walked into the restaurant with a huge bucket of roses, must have been at least 5o stalks..reckon he did a good bargain with the florist...The restaurant owner had to get a chair to put the bucket...
The following year , he died of cancer, I am glad I still have the rose petals dried and I now realise that bucket of roses represent all the roses of my future without him.

I would say the most romantic thing a man has ever done for me was his gesture during out first time. We went to a low key restaurant for lunch. My date had a simple bouquet of flowers sent to the restaurant, and, was delivered to out table while we ate. It was the gesture not the actual flowers, for the first time in many years I was speechless. He did not have a lot of money and I knew he probably spent more than he should have. What I liked was how he thought ahead and stepped outside the box and busting the idea of coming to my home with flowers. To this day, I remember the gesture and it has been over 15 years past.

I once had a pretty blond behind the seafood counter at Kroger ask me, as I requested ten pounds of mullet (to smoke), "Do you want me to clean them for you?" I saw the heavens part and heard angels sing !!

.......then I found out it was just part of her job.:(:(

.but, a true story, I swear. :):):)

Hi,

I was with a guy for years and one time he said to me..

" ..I adore you at your best, I've seen u at your worst (he really did and it wasn't pretty) and i still adore u.."

that was the jist of it anyway... and i actually think thats pretty cool.

It's easy to love someone at their best.. but to be able to accept and love someone at their worst also.. really is quite special.

I was trying to think for ages of something romantic i'd experienced.. flowers and chocolates and teddy's are cute..but i think for me there is alot more weight/real romance in genuine loving words..

your profile is great! You seem like a really Fab guy :)

The very first person that i was in love with was in the army, and he was gone a lot.. So i would fly to Washington State two times a month to see him, or he would fly here to cali.. One time he was gone for 6 months and it was about 10pm at night and he called and said i should go outside and look up at the stars and he would do the same, and when i opened the door he was standing right there.. big big suprise and i thought it was the best.. Can't tell ya what all happened in front of the house that night but i'm sure you can guess.. lol ..

Gestures of love and concern - feeding me medicine when I'm sick,
piggy me on his back when my heels broke, bringing me an umbrella on a rainy day, giving me surprises, etc.

Hard to say which is the most romantic. It depends on the mood of that occasion.

Well you could say it was romantic but for a first date to me it was OTT. It was also a bit of confusion as I meant as a friendly meeting not a romantic meeting but he obviously had other plans.

Basically I was 19, this guy set up a treasure hunt around Edinburgh. One clue led to Harvey Nichols where he had a little gift bag made up with perfume make up etc in. Then the final stop was Princes Street Gardens in the centre of Edinburgh, under the castle. A table and chairs were set up for a picnic. There was a guy from the evening news wanted us featured in a story. I was like no thanks.

A nice guy but he was kind of troubled. I think thats why he did all these wild things. He was a year younger than me too. The chemistry was just not there.

Very kind of him though to go through all that effort but I think he should hold back that sort of thing until he's lke dated someone for a while.

sarah :-)

Someone I was in love with calling me at midnight (out of the blue, long distance) when I was already in bed just to say how much I meant to him. I think the best romantic things are free.
