Love your blog and your post. I believe you can have/find happiness even in the rain. Even when someone has gone through abuse, the death of a family member or friend etc.. You can still find happiness because the soul can heal. I've gone through a lot of things in my life both good and bad especially these past few years but I've been healing and doing better and yes... I'm happy because I have what I need. I'm not perfect, I don't have a perfect life but I have people that I care about and love like my kids and my family, friends and even my cat =^..^= I find happiness in the simple things like writing, having a cup of coffee, walking, listening to music, and helping others. I think happiness can come from anywhere you just have to see it.

you are assuming a great deal with this blog Michael that most are in one way or another unhappy with their lot in life. Being on a dating site does not automatically mean you are unhappy....or does it

Thanks for yet another insightful post, Michael! This is something I practice daily--sometimes hourly when I feel the blues setting in. It can be a struggle to be happy, but it's something I think worth working on. People that know me well know one of my favorite things to say is "I'm trying to stay in my happy place." I know that probably sounds rather "Pollyanna-ish", to some, but I don't want to go through life being one of those sad, serious people. Life is too short!! :-) I'm with Pat--what are your answers to these questions?
